The #1 Quality That All Great Marketers Have
My business is growing so I’m hiring.
Last night I posted a job opening for a software developer to assist with several projects.
I described the projects, but only in vague terms.
Applications flooded my inbox. Most applicants told me they had EVERYTHING it takes to tackle the projects.
One applicant, Noah, said this: “Let’s discuss more about your requirements so I can understand what you need.”
Noah is the one I’m likely to hire.
Why? Because he’s an explorer. He’s a discoverer.
He doesn’t assume he knows it all. He wants to explore and ask and research…
…so he can discover what he needs to do. Only then, will he say, “I have everything it takes.” Only then will he devise the plan.
Explorers make the best programmers.
Explorers make the best marketers.
I’ve seen countless marketers fail because they assume they KNOW exactly what makes their prospects and customers tick.
They don’t bother to dive deep, explore, and discover.
Then they deliver marketing messages that make their prospects yawn. Messages that don’t resonate. Messages that prospects find irrelevant.
If you want to craft messages that prospects find irresistible, you have to explore. You have to discover…
…what your prospects fear and dread…
…what they dream of……what bugs them…
…what delights the…..where are they now…
…where do they want to go.
If you do this, if you explore and discover, you’ll have the building blocks you need to create powerful stories.
If you don’t, your prospects will tune out and move on.
p.s. I can help you discover what makes your prospects and customers tick so you can craft those powerful stories that attract leads, keep them tuned in, and inspire them to act. If you’d like to discuss how I can help, schedule a 15-minute consultation with me and we can discuss the possibilities.
