No More Missed Opportunities — If you Attend This…

masterclass

I racked my brain this morning to come up with a great anecdote to promote Thursday’s masterclass…

…How to Turn Your Book (or Other Content) Into a Lead-Attracting, Client-Generating Machine…

…and I kept going back to one I emailed just a few months back.

So, yes, this is a rerun…

but I can think of no better story to encourage you to attend this free training.

(If you know you want to attend and would rather skip the story, register here.)

Why Wallflowers Fail at Love and Business

When I was in college, I had a roommate named Joe…

…who was tall, dark, and handsome…

…but shy as a vampire at a garlic festival.

I once saw a great-looking woman approach Joe at a party, hand him a slip of paper with her number on it, and say, “Call me. Maybe we can go out some time.”

Joe looked at the paper, shoved it in his pocket, and mumbled “Ummmm… yeah… ummmm… maybe… ummmm… thanks.”

He stared at his Converse high-tops as she disappeared across the dance floor.

My buddies and I begged Joe to follow her.

“Go talk to her,” we pleaded. “Ask her to dance.”

But he wouldn’t do it.

And five weeks later, when he finally summoned the courage to call her, she barely remembered him and had lost interest.

(Holy Missed-Opportunity, Batman.)

Reminds me of all those business owners who respond to email signups with little more than “Ummmm… thanks.”

When someone signs up for your email list, they’re handing you a “little slip of paper” and saying “call me.”

They’re asking you to connect. They want to get to know you. They want to dance. Right away!

But too many business people act like Joe.

I signed up for one list the other day and landed on a page that said, “Welcome to our list. Thanks.”

That’s it. No further engagement. No follow-up email. No immediate dance. Just “Ummmm… thanks.”

That is SOOOOO Joe.

If you want to be the business wallflower who regrets missed opportunities, follow Joe’s lead.

But…

…if you wish to establish meaningful, business-building relationships with subscribers…

…and maximize return on your email investment…

…you must dance with new subscribers right away.

When I shared that story in June, I was promoting my paid mastermind program Content Marketing Masters. The third session of that program covered how to drive more sales with better follow-up.

The investment to join that program was… well… let’s just say it wasn’t free.

Thursday’s training (Thursday, June 12. 2:30 pm ET, 1:30 pm CT) IS free.

And while we won’t dive as deep as I dove with my paid mastermind members, we’ll cover more than enough to transform you from a wallflower to a follow-up champ, including:

âś“ A proven framework to transform leads into warm prospects and then clients.

âś“ The common, mistake so many marketers make with lead magnets that repels prospects and suppresses sales.

âś“ Set-it-and-forget it automation tools so you can create landing pages and follow-up sequences with ease — even if you have zero technical skills…

…and more.

So, as I said in that email in June…

…un-peel your petals from the wall, Dear Flower, and meet me on the dance floor.

Don't go away yet..
