The 5 Most Important Ogilvy Ads for Meta Advertisers
The great ad-man David Ogilvy was born on June 23, 1911 — 115 years ago tomorrow. He died in 1999, before social media. But his principles and methods shape how we advertise today — on all platforms, online and offline.
This video from Dara Denney breaks down core lessons from five of Ogilvy’s great ads and reveals how advertisers today can apply those lessons.
You don’t have to be advertising on Meta (Facebook, Instagram) to learn from this one. These lessons applied long before the internet and still apply today.

Austin Kleon: Typewriter Interview with Brad Neely
Business people can learn a lot from artists. That’s why I follow Austin Kleon and read his books and blog. He helps me see the world from an artist’s perspective which, I’m certain, has helped me build a better business and enjoy the ride more.
Every so often, he’ll interview other artists entirely by typewriter and snail mail. No Zoom, no email back-and-forth. He types a batch of questions on individual pieces of paper, mails them to the subject, who types their answers underneath and mails them back.
Here’s his latest Typewriter Interview with cartoonist and writer Brad Neely. My favorite part: Neely’s answer to the last question: “Do you have any advice for people who want to be more creative?”
Neely’s answer is a gem. Read the interview here.

Turn Your Book Into More Clients, 3X Profits, and Greater Freedom in 2026
Attention non-fiction authors who want to make their book pay.
Most experts pour months into writing a book… then watch it sit there doing almost nothing. It’s a glorified business card that sells a copy here and there, or a box of paperweights collecting dust.
It can do so much more.
The right book becomes the engine that fills your pipeline with better leads, lands you better clients, and multiplies your profits (without the tech headaches or the burnout).
That’s exactly what I’ll walk you through in my Book Profit Plan training on Wednesday (June 24) at 6:30 p.m. ET. The free training is for experts and business leaders who’ve already done the hard part and written the book. I’ll show you how to turn that book into clients, profits, and freedom.

Video Testimonials That Land the Big Fish
For this month’s selection of the Mastermind Book Club, Ted Prodromou and I picked Ian Garlic’s Video Testimonials That Land the Big Fish. You’re invited to join Club members as we discuss the book on Thursday, with Ian Garlic as our special guest.
Thursday, June 25, 2:30 p.m. ET
https://mastermindbook.club/garlic
Here’s why we chose it:
Ian knows most testimonials are useless — prospects ignore them and move on. So he figured out a better way and wrote the book on it.
Instead of the boring testimonial, you build a Video Case Story: a real narrative about a client who had a problem, found you, and got transformed. The kind of story that hits the brain where buying decisions actually happen.
Garlic isn’t theorizing. He’s produced 10,000+ videos and interviewed over a thousand people, from solo law firms to Fortune 50 companies. The book hands you his exact method — what questions to ask, how to shoot it, and where to place these stories so they work across your whole sales and marketing flow.

How to Write a Book That Turns Readers Into Raving Fans and Clients (with Sean Mabry)
Sean Mabry helps entrepreneurs write the books that make them heroes to their followers, pairing a lifelong love of storytelling with more than a decade as a copywriter, copy coach, email marketer, and ghostwriter.
Sean and I dig into aligning an author’s story with the reader’s journey, meeting prospects where they are, and building belief by sharing the “messy middle” instead of tactics or rags-to-riches bragging. He makes the case for emotional validation, archetypes, and transformation over plot detail, then walks through his five questions for book clarity and his “Book Clarity Engine” custom GPT.
A book is one of the most powerful tools for shifting beliefs and moving people to act. Tune in to get better at both.
