Will This Make Me Fire All my Employees?

Ripped from the depths of my SPAM folder, this “gem” from a guy named Hiroko:

“Hi Tom, I’m Hiroko, Head of AI Business Development at RevvAI, and I’ve been following Story Power Marketing’s innovative approach to content transformation—especially your role as a coach and confidante, bridging strategy with execution.”

(It gets worse from there.)

So here’s my question for you, especially if you use (or plan to use) AI to draft copy…

Who talks like that!?!?

Answer: No human being I know. And certainly no human being I wish to work with.

And even if I accept that most cold emails today are spit out by AI-powered robots, am I supposed to be touched or impressed by the compliments?

As if: “He likes me. He really likes me… I love how he recognized my company’s “innovative approach.” And it makes me feel so proud that he especially focused on my role as coach and confidante.”

(Artist’s rendering of me: 🙄)

My email box is full of this garbage from AI pickup artists…

…dishing out robotic, paint-by-numbers praise…

…claiming to be really into me…

…when, in reality, they know nothing about me.

They promise the moon… or something close.

In this case, on their website, Hiroko’s company says I can “Build a Billion-Dollar Business—Solo.”

Wowza! A Billion-Dollar Business—Solo!?!

(Memo to my loyal Story Power employees: I love you guys, but the pink slips are in the mail. Don’t worry though. You don’t need me and my piddly pay checks. You’re one robot away from a cool billion — assuming the robot is as impressed with you as it is with me.)

What does this mean for you and your business?

AI is awesome. A potential game-changer for you and your business. Save countless hours. Produce more and better content. Sell more.

But you have to train your AI-powered robots before you deploy them to help you with marketing and sales tasks.

You have to teach them how to think like you. How to talk and write like you. How to reflect you.

So you don’t show up as a robotic, paint-by-numbers pickup artist dishing out too-good-to-be-true garbage.

And you do show up as a human whom prospects like and respect and hire.

How do you train robots to do that?

Next month, I’ll show you how. I’ll host a series of small-group workshops for business owners who want to train AI to save time and sell more — without showing up as a robotic creep.

Interested? Reply to this email with “train my robot,” and I’ll send you an early-bird invitation when I finalize the dates and details.
