Don’t Be a Trojan

1250x672

According to ancient historians, today — April 24 — is the day the Greeks used a giant wooden horse to conquer the Trojans. Here’s the story, as told by Greek and Roman historians…

April 24, 1184 B.C.

The Greeks had been camped outside Troy for 10 years. It was a stalemate.

Their best warrior, Achilles, was dead, shot through his heel by an arrow.

The Trojans’ walls still stood.

Then Odysseus had an idea.

Build a giant hollow horse. Hide a few dozen warriors inside. Sail the rest of the fleet out of sight. Leave one man behind — a spy named Sinon — to spin a story.

Sinon’s told the Trojans: The Greeks gave up and went home. The horse is a gift to the gods. Drag it inside your walls, and you’ll be blessed with victory.

The Trojans believed him.

They dragged the horse through their own gates. They feasted. They celebrated the end of the war. They went to bed.

That night, the Greek warriors climbed out of the horse’s belly, opened the city gates, and let the Greek army — which had quietly sailed back — pour in.

Troy fell in a single night.

Ten years of war ended not by the strongest warrior, not by the biggest army, but by a false story the Trojans believed.

Here’s why I’m telling you this…

If you’ve written a book, you might be riding a Trojan Horse.

Somebody — a publisher, a book coach, a well-meaning friend — told you a flattering story:

“If you write it, clients will knock on your door and fall at your feet, and hire you.”

So you celebrated as if you’d won the business-building war. You launched the book and maybe even got “bestseller” status. You celebrated your victory. You went to bed.

And then… the clients didn’t come.

If that sounds familiar, you know: Writing the book isn’t the victory.

“If you write it, they will come…” is a story, as false as the Trojan Horse.

What wins the marketing war is what you do with the book AFTER you publish the it — the system that turns readers into leads, leads into clients, and clients into profits.

Most authors never build that system.

That system is what I’ll reveal on May 7 at 6:30 PM ET in a free training called “Turn Your Book Into More Clients, 3X Profits, and Greater Freedom in 2026.”

I’ll show you how to use your book to attract leads, land better clients, and build the system that turns book buyers into paying clients — without tech headaches or burnout.

P.S. The Trojans had warnings. A priest named Laocoƶn speared the horse and shouted “beware of Greeks bearing gifts.” The princess Cassandra screamed it was a trap. Nobody listened. If you’ve been sensing that the “write a book and they’ll come” promise didn’t pan out — don’t be a Trojan. Come to the training.

Don't go away yet..
