The Fastest Way to Master AI (I Learned the Hard Way)

In the hallowed halls of Reddit, I met a “super-villain.”
It happened this morning, in a place where people discuss AI.
A guy said he walked into a party, told people he’s an AI engineer, and nearly got tarred and feathered.
Suddenly, I was the villain of the evening. People hit me with:
- “AI is going to destroy jobs!”
- āI donāt think AI will be positive for society.ā
- āIām really afraid of AI.ā
- āAI is so uselessā
I can relate. Been there, heard that.
When I began to embrace AI and explore how it can make my life easier, I suffered a bit from Villain Complex.
My children told me how AI data centers hurt the environment.
My mother sent me an article about AI’s destructive potential.
My news feed screamed about how AI will replace us.
I wondered whether my little chats with AI would contribute to our termination.
I wondered whether AI is harmful or benign?
I named my GPT-powered robot “B-9(?)” (Get it?)
And then I concluded:
The best way to face AI is to embrace AI.
Learn it. Undersand it. Use it.
So over the last two years, I’ve done that.
I created my Make Life Laboratory where I’ve experimented with AI, learned its strengths and weaknesses, and deployed it to produce more while working less.
Something important I discovered in the laboratory:
The best way to learn, understand, and use AI effectively is to study how others have successfully deployed it.
I wasted so much time trying to build AI-powered solutions from scratch.
Then I began to pay attention to others who were successfully using AI. Ideas blossomed. Solutions became more obvious. The hard work of prompt engineering became much simpler.
You have three choices…
1) Decry AI. Reject it. Crawl in your AI-free hole. Declare AI useless, yet dangerous. Join the resistance. (If that’s your choice, nothing to see here; you may move on).
2) Embrace AI and go it alone. Experiment. Tinker. Bang your head against the wall. And get results that may be OK but won’t be top-notch.
3) See how others have successfully deployed AI and learn/deploy from their examples.
If #3 is your choice, tune in tomorrow when I share the link to get AI Copywriting Secrets (Volume 2)
John McIntyre invited some of the world’s top marketers and copywriters to reveal how they have harnesses AI to make their lives easier and their businesses more profitable.
Adil Amarsi, Bill Mueller, Bob Bly, Chris Orzy, Daniel Throssell, David Deutsch, David Garfinkel, John McIntyre, Jon Benson, Lukas Fisher, Rob Marsh, Sam Woods, Shiv Shetti, and me.
When you click the link (in my email tomorrow) and get AI Copywriting Secrets, two things will happen:
1) You’ll gain an unfair advantage over your competitors who have either ignored AI or are trying to deploy it without help from superstars’ proven, profitable approaches.
2) I’ll help you build your very own AI-powered machine — Your AI Noggin — that you can use right away to make your life easier.
Free access to your AI Noggin is just one of the bonuses I’ll give you when you get AI Copywriting Secrets (Volume 2).
More about that tomorrow — same bat time, same bat channel.
