šŸŽGiftHopper
One of my smartest business moves over the last couple of years: Implementing GiftHopper.

One of my resolutions this year: Expand my use of GiftHopper.

I use GiftHopper to deliver thank you gifts to clients, partners, and other key business associates. I simply give them the list of gift recipients and the gift I wish to deliver. They do the rest.

GiftHopper prepares, packages, and mails hand-packed gifts on my behalf with a branded box and personalized thank you message.

This is a great way to maintain bonds and strengthen relationships. Well worth the investment!

(Thanks to master gift-giver Michael DeLon for introducing GiftHopper to me).

šŸ§¬Ā “GRUFF”Ā and theĀ CBS News Story About Its Making
Animator Julian Curi says this about his 9-minute film: “GRUFF is a handmade, paper short film I’ve been designing, building, puppeteering, and editing across almost three years. It’s a story about the people you know love you, but arenā€™t exactly verbal about it. Itā€™s how I’ve processed my dadā€™s passing, and learned how to love people who don’t love exactly like me”

I think it’s brilliant. I learned about it from CBS “Sunday Morning” yesterday — which aired about piece about Julian Curi and how he made the film. In this day of computerized everything, this is a great story about making something beautiful — without the help of super computers.

I suggest you watch “GRUFF” first, followed by the story of how it was made.

šŸŽ¶Ā Paul McCartney Ain’t All That (Let Me Explain)
On this day in 1997, Paul McCartney became a knight. Forever more, we call him Sir Paul. I love the Beatles and Paul McCartney. But I don’t think of Sir Paul as a magical being. So many think of him as a creative unicorn who conjured #1 hits from out of nowhere. I see it differently. In thisĀ postĀ from the past, I explain what I mean and share some lessons and encouragement for those of you who think creating content is a magic art.

I use this free browser extension to capture images of full web pages, scrolling pages (not just what I see on the page at one time), and selected areas. I also can record quick screen capture videos. Best of all, I can quickly edit and annotate the captured images before saving them.

Extensions available for Chrome, Firefox, and Edge.

šŸŽ¶Ā Aretha Frankln’s Greatest Album?
Fifty-seven years ago this week, Aretha Franklin released the album “I Never Loved a Man The Way I Love You.” I think it’s her greatest album. I count it among the 10 greatest albums… period.

It opens with a little ditty called “Respect.” With an opener that great, you’d think it’s all down hill from there. But not on this album. One great song after another on this one. Here’s theĀ title track

Words to Ponder

ā€œI think it would be a far greater world if people were kinder and more respectful to each other.ā€
