You Know The One About “the company you keep?” What do you think?

company

I love it when high-quality people call B.S. on me…

…hold me accountable…

…get me out of my rut…

…share a perspective I hadn’t considered…

…inspire me to implement, not dawdle…

…encourage me to be my best…

…and then guide me to be even better.

And I love to offer peers all of the above.

That’s why I love being part of high-level mastermind groups.

They make me – and my business – better.

They always help me enjoy my business life more.

And they deliver that gift to all who partake.

The other day, I came across a story about the Greek philosopher Epictetus. He was born a slave more than 2,000 years ago in Turkey. And then he rose to become one of the great stoic philosophers – a man who influenced emperors and whose words still ring true today.

You know the old chestnut about “the company you keep?” Epictetus may have said it first:

The key is to keep company only with people who uplift you, whose presence calls forth your best.

What do you think of that advice?

I think he’s spot on!

That’s why I’m putting together a small, but mighty mastermind group of high-level people who…

…wish to reach higher…

…call forth the best in their peers…

…want others to hold them accountable, help them implement, and encourage peers to be their best even better.
