Happy New Year!

I hope you had a great holiday weekend and welcomed in the 2022 in good spirits and good health.

Here’s to a great year ahead.

The Secret To Better Habits in 2022

I’m a big Ryan Holiday fan.

He wrote one of my favorite books — The Daily Stoic —  and I love his emails.

Here’s some great advice he published on his blog about how to establish and maintain productive habits in the year ahead.

Simple, powerful advice to launch into 2022 with clarity and greater confidence.

reMarkable 2 Lives Up to Its Name

Last month, I bought the reMarkable 2, a digital note-taking tablet that has transformed the way I write. I use it for my daily journaling, note-taking, to-do lists, .pdf reading (and annotating), and so much more. It’s not cheap. But, at least for me, it’s worth it.

Here’s a promotional video. If you’re interested, reply to this email with questions. I’d be happy to tell you more.

Seth Godin Does It Again

As I plan for the year ahead, I think a lot about what I should expect.

Enter this short, brilliant blog post from Seth Godin. Simple, powerful advice that will help any business person put their expectations into perspective.

This is one of the posts I will read and reflect on over and over this year.

Schmigadoon! is a hoot!

My wife, Melissa, and I watched lots of movies and television shows during our downtime over the holidays. My favorite, by far: Schmigadoon!

This is a six-episode musical, about a couple of modern-day city-slickers who get caught in a parallel universe — a make-believe world which is a musical. You’ll get it if you watch the trailer (below). It’s a musical, about musicals, that makes fun of musicals, while also embracing musicals. And it’s very funny.

You need the Apple TV+ (subscription service) to watch. But you can see many official clips on YouTube without a subscription.

If you like musicals, you’ll love this. And, if you hate musicals, you may love this, too.

Words to Ponder
Hope for the Year Ahead

“I hope that in this year to come, you make mistakes. Because if you are making mistakes, then you are making new things, trying new things, learning, living, pushing yourself, changing yourself, changing your world. You’re doing things you’ve never done before, and more importantly, you’re doing something.”

– Neil Gaiman
