I was Stuck Until…
Every weekday morning, I wake, pour a cup of coffee, and write an email for you.
Most mornings it’s easy and fun. I’ve done this for a long time, and I’ve mastered methods to assemble content without getting stuck.
But today it feels hard — as hard as it’s ever been.
I’ve been sitting in this chair, staring into the distance, stuck — for more than an hour.
I think I’ve hit a wall.
So it goes when a tornado rips the roof off your house and levels your yard (Emails I wrote earlier this week about that:Ā The Things That Really MatterĀ andĀ This Gave Me Hope).
Since last Friday’s storm, I’ve been focused and efficient. Meeting with insurance adjusters. Planning the rebuild with contractors. Cleaning messes. Fixing things. Getting stuff done.
Today, I’m just tired.
And then, Michael DeLon showed up in my inbox. We met a few years ago. Business acquaintances first. Fast friends next.
He sent me a video to say he’s thinking about me, and he loves me.
And now, no longer stuck, I’m writing…
…to say thank you…
