Why Uncommon Wins…

nun

I read a story yesterday about a nun in Los Angeles who made art from common things.

A Wonder bread logo expanded into a screen print about taking communion.

The “G” from General Mills slogan “The Big G Stands for Goodness” transformed into a reference to God.

The Safeway logo cut in two to create a sign showing the path to salvation.

Austin Kleon shared the story in his book Keep Going, and he wrote this about the nun, Sister Mary Corita Kent:

“Kent took the manmade landscape of Los Angeles – not necessarily the first place you’d look for beauty – and she found the beauty in it. Kent said she made common things ‘uncommon.” (She thought ‘uncommon’ was a better word than ‘art.’)”

Wow! That’s good.

Made me think about what I do and why I do it.

I help you turn content into something “uncommon” so your emails, social posts, web sites, and other messages are not just more of the same common, overlooked stuff.

I help you stand out as someone “uncommon” so prospects choose you over all the other common competitors in your industry and niche.

No one will say, “I read your emails as soon as they hit my inbox because they’re so COMMON.”

No one will say, “I chose to hire you above all others because you’re so COMMON.”

Be uncommon. Create something uncommon. You’ll stand out and get hired.

I’ll show you how…
