Why Amazon Book Sales Won’t Build Your Business
The following question landed in my inbox recently from a business owner who’s struggling to turn his book into clients:
***
“Hey Tom — How do I get the names and emails of people who buy my book on Amazon? I’ve made a few sales. But I don’t know who the buyers are.”
***
Short answer: You can’t get the names and emails of the people who buy your book on Amazon.
Jeff Bezos and his minions hoard that data like dragons guarding piles of gold.
If you want to turn your business book into profits, offer your book in a place you control — not in Amazon’s closed kingdom.
Sell the book on your website. Give away a free .pdf copy. (I do both.)
When you do it this way, you build a list of warm leads.
Nurture those leads with emails.
Invite them to meet.
Sell your products and services.
That’s exactly how I’ve turned my book “Story Power Marketing” into a sales machine.
I’ll show you how to build the machine — or, better yet, how to have it built for you — at a live training called:
“The Book Profit Plan: 3 Ways to Turn Your Book into More Profits in 2026”
When: Wednesday, January 28, 6 p.m. ET, 3 p.m. PT
