This is The WORST Way to Get My Attention…

Ripped from the pages of Reddit: An email that “Matt” received from an eager lead-gen vendor:


Subject Line: “Saw your name in the Epstein Files”


Email Body: “Hey Matt, don’t worry I’m only kidding. Just figured I’d get your attention and if you’re reading this, I guess it worked! We work with budding startups that are looking to automate pipeline generation…”


Holy SCUMBAG, Batman!


I’ve seen a lot of rotten, misleading emails in my day. But this one takes the cake.


I read that email and think, “Who would be stupid enough to imagine THAT would work?”


Then I remember the time a big-time guru sent me an email with the subject line “Re: Refund Request.”


It was a dirty trick. I hadn’t requested a refund.


The email drew me in and then pitched the guru’s courses and their generous refund policy.


No wonder so many people resort to these tricks.


If it’s good enough for the big-time gurus, it must be good enough for you, right?


Wrong!
