“The Most Powerful Speech of All Time Started With…”

A couple of years back, I got an email from marketing master Karl Bryan who wrote:

“The most powerful speech of all time started with ‘I have a Dream!’ It didnā€™t start with ‘I have a step-by-step plan.’ā€

I stashed that line in my “email ideas” file and came across it this week (there’s a lesson in that).

I often tell the story of an executive coach who wrote an info-only, booorrrrring email about how to delegate properly. No one read it. No one called her.

Then, with my help, she wrote a story-powered email with the subject line: “How a stressed out owner let go and got away.”

The owner never took vacations because he worried his business would fall apart without him.

But he finally got away after he learned — from the business coach — how to delegate.

People read that email. And they called her to learn more.

That’s what Karl was talking about.

And that’s what I’m talking about when I encourage you to transform your content from prospect-repelling to client-attracting.
