The 3-Step Stoic Exercise To Beat Your Fears
You know that big move you keep not making? The offer you haven’t launched, the price you haven’t raised, the hire you keep postponing?
Most of what stops us isn’t the risk. It’s the fog around the risk.
Tim Ferriss has a nine-minute fix he calls fear-setting: a three-step exercise that drags the vague dread out of your head and onto paper. Define the worst case. Figure out how you’d prevent it. Figure out how you’d repair it. Write it all down and the fog thins.

Unconditional Love in a Divided Family
Politics has turned a lot of family gatherings into minefields.
This “Dear Gina” letter comes from someone whose family now sits on opposite sides of one. Gina’s answer is a practice for still loving someone whose values baffle you. No pretending to agree. No pretending it doesn’t hurt.
Not a marketing piece. But if you’ve been dreading the next holiday table, read it first.

How to Be More Productive Based on Your Brain Type
Most productivity advice assumes one system fits everyone. Buy the planner, wake at five, block your calendar. And when it doesn’t stick, you blame yourself.
Jim Kwik says the problem isn’t your discipline. It’s the mismatch. Your brain type changes what actually works, so find your animal, then match your strategy to how you’re already wired.
Worth a listen before you buy one more productivity book that was written for somebody else’s brain.

Video Authority by Aleric Heck
One more nudge on our September selection, because the meeting is now ten days away.
Aleric Heck has spent 16-plus years on YouTube working out how to turn viewers into paying clients. Video Authority is the system: attract the right audience instead of chasing view counts, then convert them at scale, on any platform, starting the same day you read it.
Read it this week, then join Ted Prodromou and me on Zoom to dig into it. Attending costs nothing. Join the Club and you also get the online community and replays of every meeting.
Thursday, September 24, 2:30 p.m. ET / 11:30 a.m. PT

The Founder Trap: When Your Story Sells But Your Team Can’t (with Jorge Chavez)
Jorge Chavez is the founder and president of Topaz Sales Consulting in Austin, Texas. He’s spent more than 30 years in sales and leadership, and he created the Buyer Facilitator philosophy, a buyer-first approach that helps founders and sales leaders build teams that sell without them.
This week we dig into the founder trap: your story sells, but the business stalls because you’re the bottleneck. Too precious about what you built. Reluctant to get the right help. Hiring salespeople on gut feel and hoping. Jorge shares how he mentors owners out of it, why sales conversations should center on trust, truth, and saving the buyer time, and what letting go looks like when you’d rather stay small on purpose.
