Quick Correction
…re: the difference between William Golding and J. R. R. Tolkien

Last week, I shared a quote from William Golding. I said he wrote, Lord of the Ring and noted it “was one of the first novels I ever read.”

Wrong!

Golding wrote Lord of the Flies. THAT was the book I was describing (I read it when I was 10). A few readers noticed my mental hiccup. (Thanks to them).

In case you missed it, here’s the Golding quote I shared.

“Words may, through the devotion, the skill, the passion and the luck of writers, prove to be the most powerful thing in the world.”
