How to Turn “Yawns” to “Yeses” When You Ask for Email Signups

Want to know one of the best ways to inspire more qualified prospects to join your email list?

Sell them on the idea of subscribing.

Seems kind of obvious, doesn’t it?

Yet so many business people undersell their emails.

They put a little form on their site with a headline “Join our email list” (or some other yawn-inducing call-to-action). Maybe they include a sentence or two describing what prospects will get.

But generally, they do little or nothing to inspire prospects to sign up.

I used to be guilty of the same thing. That changed for me recently when I launched my new landing page for email signups.

You can see it here:

There’s a lot of marketing strategy baked into this page…

…and I have to give credit where credit is due…

Ben Settle and Daniel Throssell are brilliant email marketers who know, as I do: email-list-growth fuels business growth.

For Ben and Daniel, the front page of their web site serves one purpose: Inspire visitors to sign up for the email list.

Their approach inspires mine.

Later today, I’m hosting a workshop called “5 Ways to Build Your Email List with the Right Prospects”

This is a 5in25 workshop – 5 tips in 25 minutes, followed by Q&A.

Tip #1: “Create a Sales Page to Promote Your Emails”

I’ll reveal all the elements that went into my join-the-list landing page and help you create yours.

Then I’ll share 4 more tips (loaded with actionable strategies and tactics) and answer your questions.

But you won’t get the tips or be able to ask the questions if you don’t attend. No replays for this one.

You still have time to register for the workshop that starts at 3 p.m. EDT, 2 p.m. CDT.

Don't go away yet..
