A Great Way to Bust Bad Guys and Land Clients

Let’s raise a glass to the police in Derbyshire, England who busted a bunch of bad actors by enticing them with free beer.

The target: Dozens of alleged criminals who had evaded arrest — including some charged with burglary, robbery and sexual assault.

The tactic: Send a letter to suspects from a fake marketing company. Offer a case of beer if they call in and answer a few survey questions. After suspects call, arrange a place to meet and arrest them when they show up.

The results: 19 suspects arrested.

Holy lead magnet, Batman! That’s how it’s done!

Note that “follow-up” part. That’s the bit most business people flub.
