On this day (August 6) in 1991, Tim Berners Lee launched the World Wide Web as a “a wide-area hypermedia information retrieval initiative aiming to give universal access to a large universe of documents.”
And today, we can’t imagine a world without that wide-area hypermedia information retrieval thingamajig.
