I got a cold-call voicemail yesterday from “Dina” who pitched “a health and wellness lunch-and-learn event” for my staff and employees.

The focus: “On health and wellness…which is a very informative and educational event.”

No thanks, Dina.

But your call got me thinking about how businesses pitch their “informative and educational” content…

…and why they fail.

Dina didn’t tell me a single thing about WHY my employees, my business, and I would BENEFIT from this event. No promised outcomes. No description of transformations.

I visited her company’s website to see how it described its free events. I found this:

Our events motivate your team to be healthier and more confident, creating a productive positive workplace and lowering workers’ compensation costs.”

That’s better.

It inspires me to envision a positive transformation for my employees and me.

But in her 55-second voicemail message, Dina didn’t mention any of that. Not a peep. Not once.

She pitched just the product (health and wellness lunch-and-learn), not the transformation that product enables.

If you focus on the product — without describing the transformation — your marketing will fail.

Prospects will tune out and move on. And you’ll be stuck.

You’re Invited…

Today at 4 p.m. ET, I’m going to break down a Hall-of-Fame advertisement by the great Eugene Schwartz so you can transform your content from prospect-repelling to client attracting and get unstuck.

…so you can walk away with methods you can implement right away.

If you want to attend the live session, reply to this email now with “Schwartz.”

I’ll send you the Zoom link.

I’ll record the session, but you have to be a member of Club Storyville to access the recording.
