A Warning and an Invitation
This question generated a lot of buzz on a popular marketing forum this month: “Best Lead Magnets in 2024? What channels and lead magnets will you be focusing on..?”
My least favorite answer came from a pitchy list vendor who said forget about lead magnets and buy a pile of leads. He directed readers to his website where…
…for the low-low price of 8,999 Indian Rupees (roughly $108) per month, you can get a list of “1,000+ email addresses.”
The site said it’s easy as 1-2-3:
Subscribe in seconds. Get leads. Close deals.

The bad news: It ain’t that easy.
The good news: Attracting quality prospects and persuading them to hire you is easier than you think if you know how to do it.
That’s where lead magnets come in.
Offer a valuable resource (a downloadable document, mini-course, video training, or something similar). Promote it in places where your ideal prospects reside (such as social media platforms). Exchange the resource for their email. Nurture them with ongoing regular emails to build a relationship and persuade them to buy.
Not as simple as “Subscribe in seconds. Get leads. Close deals.” But much more realistic and effective. And very doable if you have a clear plan and the right time-saving tools to simplify the process.
