You Won’t Profit Unless You Do This…

From 38,000 feet elevation, enroute to Phoenix…

I have a sign on my desk, to the left of my computer, where I see and think about it every day.

The sign says:

You Won’t Profit Unless You Implement

My friend Vance Morris sent it to me.

Vance is one of my marketing heroes. Vance knows strategy is not enough. Learning and planning is easy.

Implementing separates the pretenders from the pros.

Vance is the best implementor I know.

A few months ago, I sent Vance an advance copy of my upcoming book, “Story Power Marketing, Proven Methods to Create Client-Attracting, Profit-Generating Content — Without Getting Stuck.”

I figured he’d do what other advance readers did; he’d send me a sentence or two about the book for me to use as a testimonial.

Instead, Vance sent me a 460-word book report, outlining top highlights/lessons from the book and how he plans to apply them in his business.

He didn’t just read the book, send a testimonial, and put the book on a shelf…

…he reflected on the lessons and developed an implementation plan.

Highlight 2: The P.L.A.N. Framework

Ruwitch introduces the P.L.A.N. framework (Promise, Lesson, Anecdote, Next Step) as a simple yet powerful tool for crafting compelling stories. This four-piece structure helps marketers create content that is not only engaging but also drives action. By breaking down the storytelling process into manageable steps, Ruwitch makes it accessible to everyone, regardless of their writing skills.

How I Plan to Use It:

I will implement the P.L.A.N. framework in my content creation process. By clearly defining the promise and lesson, finding relevant anecdotes, and including a clear call-to-action, I can ensure that my marketing materials are both informative and persuasive. This structured approach will help me consistently produce high-quality content that resonates with my target audience.

Holy get-sh*t-done, Batman. That’s inspiring!

Do as Vance does. Not just with my book. But with all business guidance you consume.

Don’t just consume it. Digest it. Reflect on it. Plan to apply what you’ve learned. And then implement the plan.

“Story Power Marketing” goes on sale on November 14. Mark your calendar. On that day only, you can get a paperback copy for <$1.

If you were among the lucky/smart who asked for an early-bird .pdf copy, I’ll send it to you later this week.

Until then, remember…

…you won’t profit, unless you implement.

Don't go away yet..
