You Don’t Have to be a Genius to Generate “Genius” Content

Earlier this week, a happy reader replied to one of my emails and called it “genius.”

I have a love/hate relationship with notes like that.

On one hand, I’m delighted she’s delighted. When I send an email, I aim to captivate and delight readers.

On the other hand, I don’t like readers to think I’M a “genius.”

My emails captivate and delight not because I’m a “genius” (I’m not). They captivate and delight because I have systems and habits I employ to generate ideas and produce content that works.

If you believe your favorite content creators are “geniuses,” it’s too easy to assume,”They have IT. And I don’t.”

It frames content creation as a magic art, reserved for the special ones, the geniuses.

Don’t buy that bull.

If you believe — as I do — that content creation is more craft than art, more about systems and habits than magic, you will know…

You can create content that delights and captivates prospects and inspires them to buy. You don’t have to be a “genius.”
