The Popular Marketing Move that Doesn’t Pay The Bills
I saw a great question this morning on Reddit:
“One marketing tactic you believed in earlier but completely stopped using?”
The most common answer:
Chasing vanity metrics on social media.
Said one Redditor: “I used to obsess over likes, follower counts, all that shiny stuff. It felt like progress, you know? But then I realized⦠it wasnāt paying the billsĀ š ”
I learned this a long time ago: Building a following on social media doesn’t pay the bills…
…unless you engage those followers directly and consistently through channels you control — such as email.
I learned that, in part, from some of the top social media marketers who focus relentlessly on how to turn social media followers into email subscribers.
I haven’t completely stopped using social media. But I no longer see follower counts and likes as the end GOAL.
Questions for you:
1) How would you answer that “one marketing tactic…” question? What tactic have you stopped using?
2) Would you like me to send you a video where I reveal how to build a profit-generating email list — quickly and efficiently?
Please reply and let me know.
