Reply Quickly if You Want a Better Website

website

Yesterday, I conducted a website makeover for a VIP member of my Content Transformation Academy.

30 minutes to transform his front page from “blah” to brilliant, prospect-repelling to prospect-attracting.

In a week or two, after he launches the transformed site,  I’ll put the URL in a bookmarks folder called, “Websites – Good Examples.”

I also have a bookmarks folder called “Websites – Bad Examples.”

That folder is overflowing – kind of like the dumpster in the alley behind my house.

It’s easy to find bad examples.

Here’s one…

A prospect-repelling website for an accounting firm in Ohio…

The website begins:

“Welcome! Thank you for visiting our website!”

(Blah)

Then it lists some of the tools and services visitors will find on the site.

(Blah-blah)

Not a word about what’s in it for you.

Not a hint about how this firm might help you.

Not a peep about the client’s journey.

(Sub-par for the course.)

Most sites are more “me-me-me” than “you-you-you.”

Most sites are more “what we do” than “why we do it.”

Most sites are more put-you-to-sleep than inspire-you-to-act.

Reminds me of something I heard business coach Karl Bryan once say about Martin Luther King’s “I Have a Dream” speech:

“Note, he didn’t start his speech with, ‘I have a step-by-step plan…’ Would have been a tad less inspiring.”

So…does your site start with a step-by-step plan and a bunch of other “what we do” content?

Or does it describe how your business will solve clients’ problems and fulfill their dreams?

Want a mini-makeover for your site?

If you’d like to make your site better (everybody’s site has some room for improvement), let me know.

I’ll review the site and send you three actionable tips to help you make it less “blah” and more brilliant.

This won’t be a full website makeover. I reserve those for paying members of the Content Transformation Academy. But it will be a great start.

The first five people who ask today (July 13, 2022) before 5 p.m. CDT will get the free mini-makeover.

Just reply to this email and say, “Gimme the makeover…” and send me a link to your site.

Reply now so you’re one of the five.

p.s. Coaches, consultants and other business leaders turn to me to power-up their stories because most dish out the same old boring, "blah, blah, blah" content, turn off prospects and then feel frustrated and stuck. So I help them transform content from boring to brilliant, turn the marketing process from frustrating to fun, and convert results from pitiful to profitable. Bottom line, you can fire up prospects and inspire them to hire you with story-powered content that's simple to create. I'll show you how. Whenever you're ready, here are several ways I can help you land more clients without pitching and prodding:

1) Connect with me on LinkedIn and Facebook and (if not subscribed already) join our email list.

2) Watch the free, 7-minute Micro-Training: “The 3 Most Important Storytelling Keys to Captivate Prospects and Inspire Them to Act -- Without Pitching and Prodding.”

3) Become a Story Power VIP in the Content Transformation Academy: Master how to discover, assemble, and deliver business-building stories. Weekly masterclasses. Members-only content. One-on-one feedback and consulting sessions. And more… If you'd like to learn more about our VIP program, just reply to this email and put "Story Power VIP" in the subject line. I’ll contact you with more details.

4) Work with me one-on-one: If you’re interested in working directly with me -- to discover, assemble, and deliver powerful, business-building stories -- simply reply to this email and change the subject line to "Private Client." Tell me a little about yourself, your business, and what you'd like to accomplish, and I'll reply to discuss options.

5) Invite me to speak at an event: I can tailor a presentation that meets the specific needs of your organization. Informative. Entertaining. Virtual or live. Potential for continuing education credits when applicable for your group. If interested, reply to this email and change the subject line to “Speaking Engagement.” I’ll circle back to discuss the possibilities.
