Holiday Humor

🤭 The Greatest April Fools Joke Ever
On this day in 1957, the BBC (not known for its raucous sense of humor) fooled the nation when it broadcast a fake news story about the “spaghetti harvest” in Italy. Hilarious!

Every month, Ted Prodromou and I choose a book for the Club to read. On the fourth Thursday, we meet live to discuss the book. Some members read the book. Some don’t. It doesn’t matter. Even if you haven’t read the book, you can follow and participate in the conversation.

The meeting is this Thursday, March 28, at 2:30 p.m. ET, 1:30 p.m. CT.

The meeting is free to attend. But you must first join the Club. We send multiple notices with the Zoom look to club members.

📈How to Emerge as a Powerful & Profitable Thought-Leader
You want to stand out. But your expertise, alone, will not get you there.

You must show up as the unique human that you are. As indispensable, not a content-dispenser. As invaluable, not a commodity.

You know you have something to offer — something that elevates you and those you serve, something that feels right to you and them.

But “something’s” missing, and you don’t know where to find it. Dixie Gillaspie and I know where it’s hiding.

On Friday, March 29 at 1:30 pm ET, 12:30 pm CT, Dixie and I will host a free workshop to reveal the 7P Framework so you can:

✓ Discover Your PASSION & PURPOSE
What fires you up and makes life more fulfilling?

✓ Establish Your PRESENCE & PROMISE
What transformations will you be known for and hired to deliver?

✓ Identify Your PROSPECTS & PACKAGE
What do you offer, how do you package it, who will receive and pay for the most value from it?

✓ Build and Connect with Your PLATFORM
Who needs to hear your message, how do you reach and connect deeply with them?

⏩ STEVE! (martin) a documentary in 2 pieces
I was 11 years old, staying up after my bedtime, sneaking a peek at Saturday Night Live, when I first saw Steve Martin in October 1976. I’ve been a Steve Martin fan ever since. (My favorite comedy movie: “Roxanne.”)

Last week, Apple TV + (subscription required) debuted a documentary “STEVE! (martin) a documentary in 2 pieces.” I’m watching and laughing and taking notes.

It’s great entertainment. It’s also a great study in personal branding. How did a guy who says he had “no talent” (that’s not true) become a giant star whose career spans more than a half-century? Many lessons to learn if you wish to build a personal brand and stand out in your niche.

📚 Mastermind Book Club
Ted Prodromou and I have never done this before. But after hosting bestselling author Susan RoAne at our Mastermind Book Club meeting last week, we had to share the recording.

Susan is the bestselling author of “How to Work a Room.” For more than an hour last week, Susan told great stories, shared business-buildling insights, and answered questions.

The Club meets once a month — live on Zoom — to discuss a book Ted and I choose. We post meeting recordings in our clubhouse. This is the first time we’ve shared a recording with non-members.

If you like what you see, join the Club. It’s free.
