On Tuesday, I shared a video that revealed how to sell more, with greater confidence and clarity, and without feeling like a pest.

A subscriber replied: “I just viewed your video. Do you have any suggestions for specific language to use that makes the ‘promotional stuff’ sound like a genuine, non-pushy invitation?”

My answer: Don’t sweat the “specific language” and…

…focus, instead, on your market.

What makes your prospects tick?

What problems and frustrations keep them up at night?

What are their desires and aspirations?

How can you enable their journey from before to after — so they transform from their current undesirable state to the state they desire?

Keep the focus on prospects’ emotional journeys and discover their stories.

When you do this — when you answer all those questions above — you have the building blocks you need to make a compelling promise…

…and when you make a compelling promise, prospects say/think, “Tell me more…”

…and when prospects say/thing, “Tell me more,” you’ve been invited to share next steps (promote)…

…and when you’ve been invited to share next steps, you don’t have to push and prod and feel like a pest.

So worry less about “specific language,” and…

…focus more on Story Discovery…

…so you know what messages will inspire prospects invite you in and say, “Tell me more.”

That’s how you land more clients with greater confidence and clarity, and without feeling like a pest.
