Dan Sullivan and Joe Polish re: “What’s In It for Them”

Last week, I had the great pleasure of hearing Joe Polish speak for more than 3 hours. He hung out with members of a paid mastermind group I’m in, and he delivered one mind-blowing insight after another. I can’t share the content from that members-only session.

But I can share this discussion Joe had with Dan Sullivan on their podcast 10xTalk

They cover a lot of ground in this 1-hour episode. Here are just a few points covered (as noted on the podcast website):

  • The core mindset for being more deeply connected with yourself and other people
  • Important steps you can take to be financially, mentally, and physically better off
  • Spot “takers”, people with agendas, and people who don’t have your interest at heart
  • How to transform suffering into bonding and experience more WOO and less ARGH!

Enjoy!

How to Author Great Content – Even if You’re Not a Great Writer (with Matt Harms)

Matthew Harms is a New York Ghostwriter and Author Coach. He is the author of Grow Up: No, Really and Employed: A Career Readiness Manual, books designed to help people enrich their lives through basic life skills and career readiness training. When he’s not focused on helping others, Matthew’s other passions are writing works of fiction, both novels and screenplays, and spending time with his children.

As a lifelong writer, Matthew has learned from, and adapted, his various experiences in fields such as Finance, Project Management, and Real Estate to help those with the desire to help make the world a better place.  In the ghostwriting space, he prides himself on providing a voice for the voiceless, working with clients who have a message of growth or inspiration that can make the world a better place.

As an author coach Matthew partners with aspiring and experienced writers who do not want to have someone else write their story by helping to identify gaps and enhance strengths so they can take their projects to the next level.

DISCUSSED IN THE EPISODE

  • How to write with an authentic voice.
  • Things you must do to prepare for writing a book — whether you will write or hire someone else to do it.
  • Why writers and business owners can always use encouragement and support from those who have done and are doing what they want to do.

Tech Tip
How to Change iPhone Settings to get Rid of HEIC

If you have an iPhone, you’ve probably noticed the camera, by default, saves photos in a format called HEIC. It’s actually a better format than .jpg (smaller file size for the same quality).

But here’s the problem: You have to edit the photo and export it in a new format (.jpg, .png, .gif) if you want to share it with someone who does have an Apple device (or if you want to post it somewhere).

If you want to avoid that hassle, you can set your iPhone to save photos in .jpg format by default.

Here’s an article that shows you how — and outlines the pros and cons.

Words to Ponder…
re: Dating and Content Marketing

I pulled this smart quote from an article on the Hubspot blog,,,

“Content marketing is really like a first date. If all you do is talk about yourself, there won’t be a second date.”
