He Wants to Write Great Emails, But…

1250x672

A cautionary tale about email marketing gone wrong…

In February, I met an executive coach who asked me to sign up for his email list.

I visited his site, found the “Subscribe for Email Updates” form buried at the bottom of the homepage, and entered my name and address.

I instantly received a confirmation email…

…and then nothing…

…for five weeks.

Then another email three weeks later.

Two more months passed before I received the next email.

That was mid-June. I haven’t received an email since.

That’s one confirmation and three other emails…

…in six+ months!Ā šŸ˜§

I reached out to him last week and asked…

What gives?

He told me he wants to send consistently. (Good)

And he wants to send more (Good)

He wants subscribers to look forward to hearing from him (Good).

But…

…(here comes the bad)…

…he said, “I’m just not feeling it.”

Turns out he often sits as his computer thinking, “Time to write an email.”

And then he doesn’t write a thing.

His mind goes blank.

His motivation wanes.

His spirit sinks.

He’s tried ChatGPT, but that didn’t help. The robot-generated content didn’t sound like him.

(He AND the robot weren’t feeling it.)

How about you?

Are you feeling it?

Or are you sitting in front of a blank computer screen, thinking “Time to write an email…” and then…

…nothing.

Last week, I filled a Zoom room with people who wanted to go from nothing to something, from blank screen to captivating email, from unmotivated to fired up.

They attended a free masterclass: How to Generate a Flood of Client-Attracting Content Ideas.

I’m offering it again tomorrow because:

1) Response from those who attended last week was so positive and

2) Technical issues (100% my fault) prevented a few people from attending.

So tomorrow, I’ll do it again. I’ll share strategies and tactics I’ve developed and perfected over 20+ years of doing this.

Plus I’ll reveal newer ways I use ChatGPT and other AI tools to help with content ideas and research (note: I didn’t say “use ChatGPT as a ghostwriter).

I’ll record the training and send the replay to those who register in advance.

The training begins at 3 p.m. ET tomorrow (Wednesday, August 9). Click the button to register.
