From Bat-Biter to Icon: Ozzy’s Branding Brilliance

1250x672

R.I.P. Ozzy Osbourne.

You were one of a kind.

The Blizzard of Ozz.

The Godfather of Heavy Metal.

The Prince of Darkness.

The Marketing Maniac.

I coined that last one.

No one called him that — until now.

But Ozzy was a maniac…

…and he knew how to market himself.

Evidence:

In 1982, he was performing in Des Moines when a fan threw a bat on the stage.

Ozzy, who later claimed he thought it was a toy, grabbed the bat and BIT ITS HEAD OFF.

The bat was real. And Ozzy was rushed to the hospital for rabies shots.

Media went berserk.

Critics howled.

Parents freaked out.

And Ozzy? He lapped it up and leveraged it.

He became a bat-biting legend.

It was a total accident. He didn’t plan to bite a real bat. But he owned it.

He didn’t backpedal.

He didn’t try to erase it.

He doubled down on his darkness.

And in doing so, he built a brand bigger than his band Black Sabbath.

He became not just a rock star. He became an icon.

Which begs a question for you…

What are you doing to stand out?

The good news: You don’t need to bitea bat. (Please don’t.)

But you do need to own who you are.

Your weirdness.

Your voice.

Your stories.

Too many business leaders try to sound like everyone else.

(AI is making it worse.)

They water down their message.

They bury the boldness.

They hide behind a professional veil.

They don’t stand out.

And then they wonder why they’re not getting hired.

If you want to stand out as the human to hire in your niche, you have to show up with personality and authenticity.

You have to tell powerful, entertaining stories.

Tomorrow, I’ll show you how to do it during my free training called

“Turn Content Into Clients: The Proven “PLAN” to Get More and Better Leads, Inspire Prospects to Hire You, and 3X Profits — Without Ever Feeling Stuck.”
