The Science of Landing Trout (And Clients)

Earlier this month, I went fishing with my high school buddies in southern Wyoming and caught this…

That’s a 21-inch brown trout — a real beauty.

September is a good time to catch brown trout.

They spawn in October and November so they’re hungry and aggressive in September.

The water cools which makes the trout happy and brings them out from the deep pools.

The summer crowds die down so the fish are less pressured and wary.

Still, catching a 21-inch trout ain’t easy.

You have to know when to go after them (see above), where to find them, what fly will attract them, and how to present that fly so they’ll bite. And you need the right equipment tools to get the job done.

It’s a science, really…

…kind of like what it takes to attract prospects and land new clients.
