I Know You Can…
Remember Thomas the Tank Engine?
You know, the locomotive from the children’s book with the round face, big black eyes, and rosy cheeks who says, “I think I can. I think I can.”
Yesterday, I met an alternative-reality Thomas in an old Far Side cartoon.
Thomas sits on a city sidewalk. People walk by barely noticing him.
He has sunken eyes. Slumped shoulders. A giant frown.
His top hat sits on the sidewalk in front of him, filled with a few coins and dollar bills.
Propped in front of him, a sign that reads:
“I thought I could. I thought I could.”
Poor Thomas.
Reminds me of business people who struggle with content marketing.
When it comes to creating business-building content, there are three kinds of Thomases:
- “I Think I Can” Thomas
- “I Thought I Could” Thomas
- “I Can and Do” Thomas
Which Thomas are you?
I developed the P.L.A.N. framework to help “I Think I Can” Thomas and “I Thought I Could” Thomas transform into “I Can and Do” Thomas.
I’ll teach you the P.L.A.N. next week — on Thursday, July 24, 7 p.m. ET, 4 p.m. PT.
The training is called:
“Turn Content Into Clients: The Proven “PLAN” to Get More and Better Leads, Inspire Prospects to Hire You, and 3X Profits — Without Ever Feeling Stuck.”
